      Entrevista

      Applied July 2020. Received an email to a 2 hour timed Woven code challenge before getting to talk to an actual person. Against my better judgement I took the 'assessment'. You are given three problems to solve and have 2 hours to understand the code (3 different code challenges) and solve the problems. They believe that this is resembles the problems they face at their work, because apparently they get thrown into new codebases and have 2 hours to work on them before they are judged as developers. It's a bit silly. Received an update the next day they were passing on my application. Zero human interaction. If this is how they interview, it says a lot of how it must be to work there. Dodged a bullet.

      You had to integrate with their haveibeenpwned endpoint and filter based on given criteria, as well deal with API errors. Another challenge was to make a react alert component that had a dismiss alert button, changed color based on alert, and rendered the compromised accounts.

We do review each applicant and use a software development evaluation tool called Woven as part of our interview process. This tool is a work simulation to evaluate candidates' problem solving, communication and technical skills in an evidence-based manner. This evens the playing field for candidates of diverse backgrounds. We use it early in the evaluation process to help make sure we are enabling candidates to prove their capabilities and not missing qualified candidates. The results of the Woven exercise is reviewed before making a decision on whether to continue the interview process. We get a lot of applicants and are committed to hiring the best talent for our team while not missing out on individuals that would be a great fit.
