I received an email from the employer, inviting me to an assessment centre day in Luton. My overall experience was very positive. The day began at 13:00, with a fairly straightforward and relaxed technical interview. I then moved on to a group exercise with two other candidates, in which we were asked to build a 0.5m tower capable of holding a rubber ball using only spaghetti and marshmallows. Finally, I was asked to give a pre-prepared presentation on one of three topics, also including reasons they should employ me. The day ended with a short tour of the facilities, and time to chat casually with the staff about working at Selex.
