Applied online and then HR phone screen. HR asked me to submit my writing samples so sent 3 articles. HR then sent request for phone interview with hiring manager. Spoke with HM for 30 minutes about my experience/long-term goals. HM asked me to send writing samples. Sent my portfolio website & same 3 writing samples that I previously sent to HR (thought HR passed them on to HM but obviously not, 1st red flag). After 2 days, HM said I moved on to next round and asked me to take their own writing test. The writing test was paid and you have 2 days to complete it. Even if you’re still working full-time, you should be able to quickly finish it before the deadline. After writing test, was invited for in-person interview. Interviewed with 2 managers, took an office tour and met other members of the team. After the interview, sent a thank you note and got email from HM that they were impressed with my writing & even went so far as saying will be a good fit on the team. Then 1 week later, the HM asked me to take a 2ND writing test. Once again completed it within deadline during my work week schedule. Was supposed to get paid for this one too but still haven’t received payment!! A few days later I receive a bizarre “sent from iPhone” email from HR rep that they aren’t moving forward. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time! I think they just want new ideas/content. Definitely disappointed went through 5 rounds and invested so much time & effort into this process.
