It was not a particularly long interview and it was done over the phone. They mainly wanted me to give them some more details about jobs or experiences I had listed on my resume. I come from a journalism background and the interviewer made a comment asking in a very snarky tone why I hadn't applied to the Modesto Bee (I actually had, and they weren't hiring at the time). Took me by surprise and it seemed quite unprofessional.

The interview process was one of my better interview experiences. The first interview was an over the phone conversation between myself and potential supervisor. The second interview was between said supervisor, and the Executive Director. One take away I really appreciated was that our in person interview was held as a conversation to get to know my potential employer and visa versa rather than an exam I was expected to jump through hoops for. After the interview, I was given 45 minutes to write a mock-up article on a student. Once I was offered the position, I was then brought in to meet the rest of the team and get to know them a bit more.
