Hi-tech city groud floor at around 10 am; 150-200 seats all are full, and i am one among them; they collect the resume and are calling one by one; to my surprise some of them are coming in less than 1 min; i asked one person who completed interview with in one min " what happened inside?" that person was interviewed for informatica developer and interviewer asked about 2 unix commands and told him that he can leave for the day; after listening to him i remember whos face i looked today's morning? My turn came and i am actually a project lead with 8+ yrs and the interviewer is not that much exp; he want me to accept that he was superman or spiderman. first 10 questions he asked me to write a queries, which generally i hate; and the next 10 questions he asked about the data warehouse concepts and he made interview into a great argument; he will ask question and after listening my answer he will ask why? ( ex; what is star schema-- a fact table surrounded by one or more dimension;; then he will ask why ?( better to ask kimball you fat face) overall for informatica project lead position he didn't ask a single question related to project or single question related to technical or single question related to informatica; that fat face interviewer is probably a oracle developer and he came to interview informatica; he is asking queries another queries and queries. after writing 4 queries i feel the pain and thought my self that it is better to give an ad for oracle developer instead of etl developer. i too agree that every etl developer should know how to write a query but not writing cursors ....pl/sql programs? if ETL developer is writing oracle or pl/sql codes then what will oracle developers do???? OVerall its waste of my time. interviewer can take any techinical interview , he is a superman he know every thing. if u r from mainframe, he will ask you about oracle query; if you are from java then he will ask u to write a oracle query; so for every thing he will ask to write a query; because he only know oracle queries...

Fair and Technically good . Lots of C programming and Algorithms , logic based questions . total 3 rounds and 1 HR round. Interview with Project Manager and Team lead also included
