      This was the worst interview experience of all time. 1. The first round interview was a coding round. But beforehand, the HR had told me it would be a conversation about my experience and some technical conversation. 2. During the coding section, I was trying to ask some questions for clarification. The interviewer made everything even more confusing. It sounded like they didn't know what they were talking about. 3. There were two interviewers on the call. One is a DA manager and the other one is a data engineer. The DA manager told me that his father worked at LP for almost 20 years and now she's working there. Her camera was off the entire time. Very unprofessional and rude, and I wouldn't like to work in this kind of environment anyway...

      The single most off-putting part of this process happens before you ever speak to a person: a mandatory 40-minute IQ test and personality questionnaire, required just to be considered. In a 2026 job market where candidates are already stretched thin across countless applications, demanding 40 minutes of cognitive and personality testing from complete strangers—before offering so much as a phone screen—shows a striking disregard for applicants’ time. It puts the entire burden of “proving worth” on people the company hasn’t even bothered to evaluate yet. There was zero transparency about how any of the results factor into hiring decisions. The whole thing reads as a filter optimized for the employer’s efficiency at the direct expense of the candidate’s.

      Advice to management: Talk to candidates first. Save the assessments for people you’ve actually engaged with. How you treat applicants is a preview of how you treat employees—and right now that preview is not flattering.
