just got a design challenge before an interview, found this a bit strange but I understand that they are a startup ran by college students, pretty nice! I was just concerned if this was a way to get ideas though

The design challenge was really engaging, but it just takes a long time for them to give you updates since they are a small company. At least the CEO is really friendly and he cares about the company a lot.
