Mock Pitch to the team
I got a verbal offer on a Friday as well as from another team member who called and gave me the offer details that following Monday. I was told I was going to have an informal meeting with the CEO to ask any questions about the strategy that Wednesday and follow it up with a call/formal offer letter from HR following that.
Called me at 6:30PM with all the offer details and discussed and agreed upon my start date, which I was super excited about and already made arrangements for.
I got a call at 8PM that night from that same HR personal that the CEO thought I was too experienced for the role and they pulled the offer. I’ve never experienced anything like that and was blown away by how unprofessional they handled it.
If that is how they do business, good luck. My recruiter was also very upset about this entire experience and overall would not recommend this company at all.
