The take-home assignment is a critical part of that evaluation and is reviewed against a defined rubric set by the hiring team. In some cases, despite strong conversations and relevant experience, the assignment does not meet the expectations required for the role and we are not able to move forward with the candidate for that specific position. We recognize that completing an assignment requires time and effort, and we don’t take that lightly. We understand how the outcome can be frustrating—especially after positive discussions.
