The coordinator for my process was great on a call but via email she had very poor communication skills. It was very challenging to set up an in person interview and when we finally figured it out, while on site during said interview, I found out she had set up a Zoom call for someone who couldn't be available while I was on site without coordinating with me. I wasn't available at the time she scheduled that call, because I work a part time job. This also made me look pretty foolish as I was the only person who didn't know. My in person interview was several hours long. It featured a tour and 4 different blocks featuring pairs of people from different departments. Some of which took the interview seriously and others of which went on wildly unprofessional tangents. During the tour, I saw a lot of unmaintained hallways, and floors and the room I spent most of my time in did not have proper working HVAC, which meant I spent most of my interview very sweaty. I also witnessed someone open a door that specially had signs saying not to open it or not to enter without proper gowning, both of which were disregarded. I was told a common space shared with another company is where they do their town halls, you know where they share typically confidential information. Lots of red flags everywhere. When I got an invite for the post in person interview call, there was no time frame on it leaving me to look foolish when the interviewer mentioned we had gone over even though it had only been 30 minutes compared to the hour long in person sessions. Further thanks to this call invite that I saw that my resume had been severely manipulated from what I had submitted. Locations were added for former places of employment that were not accurate, my years of experience were cut short and a masters degree was added. All of which was fascinating to me and how this came to be is still puzzling. After the in person interview the company went silent for almost a month before sending me an auto rejection and with all the red flags, I cannot say I am too bummed. The process required a lot of back and fourth, a drawn out process, 6 hours of driving to interview and if I wanted the company to put me up in a hotel, I was asked to pay up front and be reimbursed.
