Got an email back after about 3 weeks of turning application in. Set up phone interview, went well. Scheduled an in person interview with directors and some team associates for the following week. Two days before interview I get a call and email saying the internship no longer exists and as a result they will be cancelling my interview. I think this is extremely unprofessional of the company as they shouldn't post listings and market the opportunity so widely only to drastically cut the program because the internship director later decided it "wasn't in the budget" after the fact of implementing it. So disappointed in this company, really thought they were a good one.
