I applied through a recruiter (CulverCareers). First there was a physics test (I would study some practice problems before taking it but overall wasn't that hard). Then there was the HireVue video. This was a little awkward because it plays a video of someone asking a question then you record your answer and can't play it back or re-record. A few weeks later I received a personality test and an invitation to come to Career Day (overall great experience they pay for your flight and hotel).
Career Day:
Arrive at the headquarters and they give you a paper with a situation you discuss with a small group (ours was something about deciding where to move forward with business with a company that used to use our products and has switched to another) Then we had lunch and received our schedules. (I had demo and role play first)
Demo and Role Play you're in a room with a couple people and present the product (mine was a laser scanner). They give you a 30 page manual before you come to career day so really study and know the product, they ask some tough questions.
In my role play I had to sell either liquid white out or tape white out. (I chose tape)
Then I had the group role play situation which wasn't bad since you kind of feed off of each other.
There's a few HR meetings where they're just Q&A situations so you get to learn more about the compay
Last I had my interview (with the same guy who heard my role play and demo). It was a pretty standard interview. Overall I thought the interview process went very well. I answered all questions regarding the demo and closed the deal in the role play. It seems like a great place to work. I was very surprised I didn't get an offer.

Why Keyence? Why technical sales? If a member of you last school group project were to describe you, what would they say?
Very odd, one hirevue and then they fly you out to chicago. The chicago process is smooth. One interview and roll play. Great time to practice skills and continue to get better.

Tell me about yourself and to sell them a product I use everyday. They also asked for a time I showed dedication to achieve a goal.

The interview process starts with an informational session. After that, you complete a digital interview assessment, and only those who pass move on to a traditional Zoom interview. There are definitely a lot of stages you have to pass to get to the final round.

They may conduct a mock sales conversation where you will have to sell them something. Or they may ask you what you think will be the hardest part of the job.
Good practice for the job, multiple stages involving phone screening with HR, meeting with director, then mock presentation and interview with manager. Make sure to practice discovery questions for the mock presentations to help you understand client needs.
