I applied for this position even though I didnt meet the requirements in terms of experience. I got a reply, they sent me an art test which was poorly written. The test description was very vague but I managed to sort of understand what was it about. They wanted you to make your own design of some of their old game asset, a gravity generator, but without doing anything radical to its proportions and key elements. The test was like 8 years old. Anyway I did it, sent it and the HR said that the art leads were very happy with it, so they scheduled an online interview. When I was on the interview, it felt really hostile. The whole process felt like if you were in school, the teacher called you up to his desk and started asking you weird questions. I didnt feel welcomed at all but I was told that they really liked the art test and that they found me really talented. They ended the call with that they will get back to me after 2 weeks top because they have other candidates. So I waited 2 weeks, no response therefore I sent them an email asking about my application. Few days later I got a reply that they were happy with my skills and the art test but they chose someone else because they were just better and suited their needs more. Well that should be alright, but... I think it all came down to me not having enough experience therefore they could've told me no right away. Also something I found really weird was that in the job description they said they are looking for the top skilled, most talented person. But then during the interview they said that they are not looking for the best, most talented candidate but for the most suitable one. The whole interview really set the mood for me about the staff and the company as they were hostile, not exactly welcoming and one of the art lead sounded really narcissistic and actually made me not want to work there anymore. So I'm rather happy that they didnt accept me after all.

i was asked to make 3d model based on provided file and guidelines. i made sure i checked all the boxes for guidelines yet response was still no offer. weird thing that guidelines itself were very confusing ( no consistency in terms used - once using polygon count once tri count ), but even weirder part was that i was told i am free with design but need to be kept in scale ( which was exact the same scale as provided model ) and i after submission in response got basically your design doesnt match our design style.
