After sending in my application I received an automated mail with login details for KVK’s hiring-portal which also told me I would get a reply within 4 working days. After 1,5 weeks I tried contacting KVK to know what to expect. I got a call from someone from the recruiting team to schedule a call for a first interview. When I asked why it took so long I got a strange remark saying “well we are planning a call now, right?” I received a confirmation saying I would have a call with three people, which right away felt like a jury more than a ‘getting to know’ kind of interview. When I joined the call I got welcomed by one of them that was insanely unprofessional having to recall twice that I was very impatient because I chased down the interview process after waiting 1,5 weeks. He was very uninviting and felt like a know it all who is apparently quickly stepped on his toes. The interview was very unpersonal, unwelcoming and I never felt at ease, which is a first for me. I usually love doing interviews. No one told me how working at KvK was or gave me good insights. Listening to the their idea of the role made it clear to me this would not be my gem, and the way they asked questions made it clear that this company does not align at all with my values and wishes. I could only align with one of them in the end where I finally got some insights and was able to speak more freely. But having to work with the others made it clear for me that I and they would not pursue this further. I revoked my interview right after.
