I was reached out by an recruiter from KOHO in Linkedin.
The whole interview process consists 4 parts, which is considered to be just enough IMO, since I am not a advocate of over interviewing with 7+ hours.
Anyways, the interview consists of:
1. Online coding, with 3 questions. From simple to practical.
2. 1 hour, technical interview discussion on system designs, design choices in your past projects.
3. 1 hour, culture fitting interview, on behavior, soft skills. It feels like a very agile and dynamic company. A lot of self initiates, and people got half day on Friday to do your own coding, or trying something new.
4. Final round, it's a 30 minutes leisure chat with someone, potentially your hiring manager, to know you better, and exchange some work details, or any questions you want to ask.
Then offer negotiation.
The package contains:
a decent base,
stock purchase options,
one time WFH budget,
life style fund around 1k/year,
internet reimbursement 600$/yr,
and whole family medical benefit package. (HSA + 100% dental)
The offer package is pretty good from what I understand, but I cannot make a change due to personal reason which happened after I received the offer, and I regrettably declined the offer.
The overall interview process is pretty smooth and HR contact never misses any emails, and replies questions from me in time. All the interviewers are pretty nice, and no mean faces during interviewing. It feels more like a discussion rather than a one-way questioning.
Hope some day soon, I can join again.
