The staff at KGK Science seemed friendly overall. They greeted me with courtesy and professionalism. The interview lasted about 45 minutes and the questions asked were pretty standard/typical. It was my first job interview in several years, so I was nervous and realized afterwards that I could have improved some of the answers I had given. Also, I didn't have a health science background, which I know was preferable. Therefore, I am not surprised nor frustrated that I didn't get an offer. The company needs to do what is best for them, and hire the most suitable candidate for the position. I completely understand that and I don't have any hard feelings. However, I was surprised that I never heard back after my thank you email. I think it's important to follow up, and at least advise candidates that the company decided to go in another direction. It makes the process easier for everyone and candidates won't have to wait and stress, not knowing the outcome.
On a separate note, I met an ex-employee of KGK recently and she gave an extremely negative review. I am sure there are employees who have enjoyed their time at KGK and this person's experience does not reflect all staff. However, after hearing the stories, I was glad I didn't receive an offer.
