      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Jones Stephens (Moody, AL) en feb 2017

      Entrevista

Process moved along in fairly good time because they wanted to fill this position in a fairly quick timespan. The previous person in this position was relocating, so they wanted the get someone in to prevent the workload from piling up. I applied online through a job board and was contacted within a couple of days. Phone screening went really well and an interview was set up for the following week. It was a behavioral interview by the book, as the HR person and the Channel Manager read questions from a sheet and filled in my answers. Even though there were behavioral and situational questions in the vein of the STAR method, it didn't feel robotic because the interviewers were friendly and casual in their approach. I felt comfortable. Unfortunately, my phone rang and caused a distraction, so I'm not sure if that affected their decision as well. They told me they would be in touch by the following week and seemed interested in me as a candidate. About 7 business days after my interview, I received a rejection email. My general advice for any interview: make sure your phone is off, always ask questions about the position and company to show interest and gather info and do not paint your previous employer in any kind of negative light. All in all, I do appreciate how how quickly this interview process went along and the communication letting me know whether I'd advance to an offer or not. They knew what they wanted, apparently, and made their final decision within a matter of a week.
