I applied online traditional way, no networking, and got email with interest for interview. Its a small company, so same HR professional called me in, met me there, and interviewed me for about 30 minutes. Then I talked to engineering manager, who, after going through motions with canned questions for 2-3 minutes, mostly spend time explaining their main product, and company history. The final interview was very brief, with a staff engineer only a few minutes. It seemed he decided very quickly it wasn't a good fit; I think I expected to do more analysis/spend more time on problems, but he said they just get the product in the door really quick and have to test them and ship'em out just as quick. The product is small electromechanical sensors.
