Interview began with a Director over the phone. We discussed all aspects of the role; salary, job responsibilities etc. I was even asked mid-interview if I could start immediately, but agreed I should come in the office first. The day before the in-person interview, it was abruptly canceled because my salary range was too high (however we had just discussed this so I was confused). It was suggested by an employee of Jacobs Agency that I should consider taking a pay cut, as they had done, but there was so opportunity for a follow up discussion or chance to still come in for the interview.
