Interviewed for a manager role at the corporate office. Initial experience was great, the recruiter reached out, connected quickly, and was very personable. I was highly concerned as the compensation was drastically below industry average for a comparable role, and throughout the interview that was cited as one of the top reasons people leave the organization and what causes their turnover to be really high. There was an initial phone interview, zoom interview, then in person interviews at the corporate office. The questions were not difficult, focused a lot on experience and then asked some specific examples of how you worked through different pieces in the past in which I’d really recommend using STAR structure in your responses as that was well received. At the end of the interview I was informed they were interviewing one more candidate who was coming in the following day and the decision would be made early the following week. I followed up for several weeks, and after three weeks of the interview I was informed they went with an internal candidate. While I wouldn’t say anyone was less than pleasant to interact with, I just didn’t feel like the approach to how the handled selection was respectful and timely to external candidates.
