These are canned questions about your availability. They will not permit questions about compensation which in this industry is standard to discuss in first interview.
The Human Resources director was evasive about the formula for compensation. I was hired and had my first paycheck before I realized how many deductions there would be. The interviewer has no sense of humor, is interrupted frequently and does not really follow the discussion--she just wants to be certain that you are a notary, can pass the background test and have the requisite equipment. If I did not know how easy it was to be hired by these companies I would have slammed the phone down.
