Very long, took over 4 months and a lot of follow ups. Met with hiring manager and department head. I thought that should be enough to make a decision. These are the two decision makers for the role. At the Department head interview, they mentioned there would be more interviews. Over two more months went by and I had to follow up periodically. The answer was always that they hadn’t connected or someone was traveling, etc. It made me feel like working there would be difficult if they can’t communicate effectively both with candidates or with each other and are not empowered to make decisions. Decided to pass on the opportunity.

Very thorough, multiple stages. Open and positive. Structured, supportive and direct.
On average 3 staged. Stage 1 HR and direct lead. stage 2, direct lead and senior leaders. stage 3 - chemistry session with immediate colleagues. Mux of the formal
And informal. Formal provides gravitas and reassurane. Informal reassures one of the positive and collaborative culture.

HR reached out to me to set up a screening call to check standard initial points. About a week after the HR call I had a follow up meeting with a department head.
