I applied to a posting for a Field Clinical Representative position. It took 2 weeks to receive an initial interview screening with HR, and knowing how fast they are growing, I didn't think this was out of the ordinary. I'm sure they receive a lot of applicants. So this timeline was fine there. I had a great interview with the HR employee. She was so kind and positive and impressed by my background. The conversation was so positive that it was expressed that I was basically a shoe in for the role. She said I would definitely hear back from them soon and that I would hear back from the Hiring Manager directly. Over 2 months later, I still haven't heard anything. Nothing from HR, nothing from the Hiring Manager, radio silence. The job posting was taken down. I’m not sure if the position was filled or if hiring for the role has been put on hold. I’ve been given zero insight or communication from anybody. In the two months, I have sent 2 polite follow up emails to the HR representative that I spoke with (in timely, spaced out manners) inquiring on if the position was still open, if there was still interest in advancing me to next steps, if so when I should expect to hear from the Hiring Manager as discussed, expressing that I am still very interested in the role, etc. I never received a response. The employees who work at Inspire rave about how amazing of a company it is, as I spoke to several of them personally before applying to ensure it was a good fit for me. I am very frustrated and disappointed in the lack of communication and professionalism from such a reputable company. I completely understand if there was another, more qualified candidate. I also would've understood if they were simply just no longer filling this position, as many companies are on hiring freezes and doing cut backs. I would have just appreciated the update either way, a response to even 1 of my follow up emails, or even the bare minimum of a generalized automatic HR email sent to me when a position closes letting me know they chose not to move forward with my application. Especially after having such a strong and positive interview initially that was expressing how good of a fit I was for the role and that it was a no brainer that I would advance. Based on the other interview reviews, it seems as though this is a common pattern for Inspire unfortunately. I'm disappointed, as I was really looking forward to potentially working at this company. It seems like a great company and an amazing product. I'm just very frustrated and blindsided on how I was treated going from one extreme to absolute radio silence and just never hearing from them ever again. I’m not sure if this is a representation of just the HR Department or Inspire Medical Systems as a whole, but it is absolutely something they need to work on, as it seems as though it’s become a pattern for them.
