They ghosted after a few rounds of interviews, and decided to post the job again after saying they were “making final decisions soon”. Only finally responded months later after many emails to say they “went with someone else.”

Unfortunately, in my case, the interview experience was far from positive. From the onset of the interview process, the HR representative was not particularly friendly or welcoming. There were also some red flags that were noticeable and made me doubtful. However, the real disappointment came during the second interview with the hiring manager. The interviewer's attitude was judgmental and almost rude. I misunderstood one of their questions and they did not care to clarify what they actually meant. Instead they leaned back, crossed their arms in front of them and stared into the camera. A moment of silence passed until the second person in the interview clarified the question to me. It was also evident that the interviewer had not done enough preparation for the interview as they took quite some time to come up with the questions. Moreover, when I had the chance to ask questions regarding the role and the team, it became clear that there was no clear differentiation between the senior and junior position. The interview ended on a sour note, with the interviewer responding rudely when asked about the timeline for a decision. For obvious reasons, this interview did not result in an offer. The rejection letter was completely impersonal and just a template as with most companies nowadays. Overall, the interview was an unpleasant experience. The lack of clarity and unprofessional behaviour exhibited by the hiring manager left a lasting negative impression and I hope that this is not the standard at Informa Markets.
