      Entrevista

TLDR: a bit misleading compared to the job listing I found, two-stage, first stage on zoom, second stage in the office, don't really know if you get hired until the second stage probably. It's an easy first stage, but maybe *too* easy. I'll start with the pro: the interviewer was very nice. The interview itself is a real softball, at least the first one is. It's two-stage, and I don't plan on going through with the second stage, but the first stage is extremely minimal. This particular interview was a zoom meeting, they ask you what you're looking for in a career and what your hobbies are. They then vaguely describe their company and the position. Then they ask if you have any questions. Whole process took about 20-30 minutes. They don't tell you the expected base salary, because that's determined in the second stage, where you presumably go into the office to check it out and they determine your salary based on your experience. Additionally, they offer commissions based on the sales you make. This was not mentioned in the Indeed job description. What was also not mentioned was how outreach is done; I was not under the assumption that this would involve door-to-door sales (they said that they didn't call it that during the interview, they called it "residential"), though they did mention that you were able to choose which method you used somehow and that door-to-door wasn't mandatory? I'm not quite sure how that's effective or even possible, if a company like Verizon demands door-to-door sales then SOMEONE has to do it, right? Maybe someone who works/worked here will be able to answer that for me. Anyways if the position involves door-to-door in any way, I believe it should be in the job listing, and that "standing outside for long periods of time" should be one of the expected duties. That's not something I can do, I'm horrible with Florida's hot weather. A lot of the job description during the interview was focused on growing into a management position. The indeed position lists health insurance as a benefit, but during the interview we were told that we wouldn't receive health insurance until we reached a management position, which I think is rather misleading. They said that they got so many applicants that the interview couldn't be done one-on-one. I was doing the interview alongside two people that seemingly had a lot more sales experience than I did. One of them seemed completely fine with door-to-door, kudos to that one. By the end of the first stage I wasn't exactly sure whether I was accepted or not. Maybe that's something they do during the second stage, maybe they just take anyone who applies. I'm not entirely sure.
