Hiring manager called for interview next day. Very prompt and helpful. Went in for interview. The building looked like an abandoned warehouse. I had to park in a lot 3 blocks away. The office area was small and very old. It looked like it hadn't been updated. There was a printed out curled up sign at the bottom of a staircase that said "Imperial acquisitions" with an arrow pointing up the stairs. Got a bad vibe from entire situation. Went through interview process. The hiring manager was professional, however overall the experience was not what I had expected. I would be worried about job security with a company that seems this new. I was called in to come in for a full day of unpaid training and declined.

I was pleased, there was a standard application process and first round interview. The second interview is more like a job shadow where you will spend a day with an employee in the position you applied for. That employee carries out the second interview and breaks down the specifics of the company around lunch time. Its cool because you get to see exactly what the position requires, while gettng to know one of your future coworkers. Like any other job, the final interview determines whether or not you'll be called in to begin.

The interview process was pretty simple. I saw the ad on craigslist and called in to speak with the HR representative. The HR woman was very friendly and personable on the phone. She let me know there was an account executive position I could apply for and she could schedule me in right away with the hiring manager. I was set up for a short interview the next day. I interviewed with the hiring manager for a short 15 minutes for him to get a feel for me and see if I had the qualities he wanted. Later that day I did receive a phone call from the great HR rep. letting me know the hiring manager did see something in me and would like for me to go on an all day interview for the job to see if it would be something I would be interested in. I thought the idea of an all day interview was great. To be able to see the actual position before being offered the job was a wonderful thing to me instead of taking a position I knew nothing about. The Next day I went on the all day interview. I went out with someone who had been in the same position previously. They took me out and gave me an overview of the company and what their purpose was. We met with different businesses to make sure they were up to date on their energy bills and not being taken by different suppliers, making them spend money for no reason. They were able to save quite a few businesses a few hundred to a few thousand dollars yearly on their electric and gas bills and put that money back into their business, which I thought was great. I had fun with the person who interviewed me, but they managed to stay very professional the entire day. At lunch, they sat down with me and explain the breakdown of the entire company, the different positions, and the opportunity for advancement. They answered any questions that I asked. For the rest of the day, we continued to meet with different businesses, and before I knew it we were on our way back to the office. The day just flew by. At the very end I had a final interview with the hiring manager. He reviewed how my day went, what I liked about the position, what I may not have liked, and answered any questions that I had. They promised me that I would find out whether or not I was chosen for the position at the end of the day, which I thought was great because waiting to find out whether or not you received the position can be stressful. I did get a call exactly when he told me he would call me to let me know I would be offered the position. Overall it was a great interview process.
