Entrevista
applied online. I was invited for the first round of interviews (two online interviews via Teams, back to back- half hour each) about a week or two after I applied. The interviews were straightforward and easy. All questions were behavioral questions.
I was then asked to take an online personality assessment of 200 questions.
Following completing the assessment, I was invited for Superday. Superday consisted of 3 interviews and one case study/presentation. The total process took four hours.
The interviews were again, fairly easy and mainly behavioral-based. My advice is to make sure you know the company values! They asked me many questions about the values. A question about the company values came up in probably 4 out of the 5 total interviews.
The case study was difficult. The questions to answer were straight forward and ION provided all necessary information to answer them, but the time pressure is the biggest challenge. You are to make an analysis and create a 10-minute presentation in one hour. The case study itself was approximately three of text and two pages of figures. The topic was about identifying a business problem (clearly stated in the text), making a recommendation, and identifying the value proposition of an ION product (information about the product is given). The presentation is given to a panel with a Q&A session follow-up.

Dopo un primo colloquio positivo con le risorse umane, ho preso parte al loro test tecnico. Ho una laurea in matematica e mi era stato assicurato che non sarebbe stato svantaggioso per questo test, grazie alla presenza di domande di logica, inglese e un codice da compilare in un linguaggio a propria scelta. Per i primi due argomenti non c'è stato alcun problema ma la fregatura (per la mia preparazione accademica) è stata la parte di programmazione che, contrariamente da come mi era stato detto, consisteva in 3/5 del test e soprattutto era infattibile per qualcuno con le mie conoscenze. Ovviamente nei giorni successivi mi è arrivata una mail con scritto che non volevano proseguire con me per il lavoro.
Quello che posso dire è che non possono pretendere che fisici o matematici abbiano quella padronanza nella programmazione.
