IMT Residential Interview Process Overview Application & Resume Screening Your resume and application are reviewed by the hiring team or recruiters to check if your skills and experience match the job requirements. Initial Phone/Video Screening Typically with a recruiter or HR. Focuses on your background, motivation, communication skills, and basic fit for the role. May include some general behavioral questions. Duration: ~20–30 minutes. Technical Interview(s) Conducted by hiring managers or technical team members. For data roles, expect questions on SQL, data analysis, Excel, possibly Python or Power BI depending on the role. You may get case studies or problem-solving questions related to real estate data, financial modeling, or data interpretation. Could include live coding or take-home assignments. Duration: 45–60 minutes per round. Behavioral Interview Focus on your teamwork, conflict resolution, problem-solving approach, and cultural fit. Questions may be like “Tell me about a time when…” or “How do you handle tight deadlines?” STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) is a good approach here. Final Interview / Panel Interview Sometimes there’s a final round with senior leaders or cross-functional team members. May include both technical and behavioral components. Discussion about your goals and how you align with company values. Offer & Background Check If all goes well, you receive an offer.
