Very poor coordination. Got a few "thanks but no thanks" automated emails, then the hiring manager called me out of the blue to give me a phone interview on the spot. Took an hour. Over a month passed, another "thanks but no" automated email, then I was called in for a one-day interview. Was a 7-hour process. Another month elapsed and I was called for another interview with the big boss, who handed me the offer letter in the interview. Overally it was a very slow and uncoordinated process.
They didn't budge on salary offer ( and later, the big boss told me that he "stole me" based on the salary offer.
Did not meet with HR until my first day on the job. Didn't know where (which building) to report to, nor what time to be there. Had to bug a friend who works there to find out when the orientation runs.... The hiring manager was out of the country the week before my start date. During orientation, I get a call from my boss, pissed that I didn't show up on my first day - didn't even let me get the answer out that I was sitting in orientation at their other building.
One of many signs that this was a bad choice for me :)
