Long, tedious process that was drawn out over 8 weeks. I had an initial 15 min screening with a 'talent advisor', who afterwards scheduled me a 30 minute call with the hiring manager and also provided me extended details on Hyatt benefits. After the 30 minute call with the hiring manager, I then met with 6 other team members for 30 minutes each. After all that, I met with the hiring manager again who, to their credit, did set expectations that I would not receive an update for another 10 days due to upcoming holidays. I finally reached out after not hearing back for 2+ weeks and was told they were going to evaluate the talent pool further. Overall, they seemed pretty interested in my ideas but the whole sloppy process and lack of urgency and communication made it feel like they were just mining for ideas. Also, despite this being a remote-friendly role, one of the VPs I met with started off our meeting immediately with a tangent against remote work and how it isn't as productive as in-office work. Despite a lot of lip service about their culture of caring, I feel like I dodged a bullet based on how they treat their candidates - not to mention their guests.

How would you communicate corporate best practice across thousands of franchises and get buy-in
HR was upfront and very thorough. The interview flowed like a great conversation. Interviewer was very engaging and did a wonderful job of explaining the company culture. HR did not provide regular updates as promised but promptly responded when I reached out regarding the status of the position

Loooong and felt like you had to interview with so many people. The peer interviews were quick and they really just wanted to get to know you as a person to see if you fit in.
