I was contacted by Hunters Recruitment regarding an internal resourcing postion with one of their clients.
Although I had visited their offices two months earlier to register they insisted I visit their offices and were not very flexible upon the time and date, which made things difficult to get away from the job I had without alerting my employer I was exploring another postion.
Having actually managed to find a valid reason to be away for time required to get to Shoreham and back, find suitable parking, as Hunters have no parking and contrary to what I was told unless you are fortunate to come across a space on the high street the nearest readily available parking was over 15 minutes walk from their office, meaing I only had 15 minutes to to spare them. This clearly annoyed the consultant.
To my surprise I received an email on the afternoon of the following day from the HUnter consultant advising me I had been selected for interview by her client and could I provide my availability for interview for the next week.
I tried to call but I was told she was on the phone and would call me back, after a couple of hours I had still not received a call and it was approaching 16:30 on a Friday, I emailed her to say I would have to book a day off work so could she tell me which day I needed to take?
Monday afternoon still not having heard anything I called and again the consultant was on the phone and not available. I explained the purpose of my call to the rather curt and rude lady who had answered the phone and I was told that the client had not yet made a selection for interviews.
Explaining that I had received an email congratulating me on being selected for interview and asking for my availability, she told me she would investigate and come back to me.
Over a week later and I have still not heard from Hunters Recruitment. The next time they contact me asking me if I am interested in an opportunity they will receive short shrift.
Hunters Recruitment is the type of agency that bring the industry into disrepute.
