Entrevista
Huff Post was advertising numerous job openings so I sent my resume and cover letter to the indicated address. A few days later I got a response asking for a time for an interview. We set up an interview, which lasted about 30 minutes. I was asked about my background, what kind of news I'm interested in and how I use social media. I was then welcomed to ask any questions I had, which I did. The editor emailed me back a few days later saying they liked my background but wanted someone with more breaking news experience.

There were four rounds. The first was with a recruiter. The second was with two editors. The third with staff. The fourth was with a senior editor. The interviews grew progressively more detailed as time went on.

Editor asked to submit a list of potential story ideas and vision for the job and then conducted a 30-minute phone interview. It was a friendly, casual process, but in the end I didn't get the job.
