Received a call from their HR asking me to show up to their office HQ and the expected date and time.
On reaching their reception, was given the floor and told to wait at their Lounge.
After about 30 minutes of waiting, a Chinese gentleman came for me and asked me to follow him.
The office layout is an open floor plan with no cubicles.
I follow him to a desk and he asks the neighbor to give us space since he needs to interview.
I sit and he begins asking questions.
His English was to say the least not the best. I spent 75% of the interview trying to understand if he was speaking to me in Chinese or English. The other 25% was trying to get him to understand my answer in the simplest English.
We nearly reverted to hand signals and written

That had to do all intervews via phone call
The process was not cinducted by HR is wasnt coear at the begging
they have three phases of interview. the first is the initial with hr which is followed by the technical with their engineers then one final interview with the head of their department.
