The hiring process is not clear to me at the beginning. The recruiters approached me and asked if I’m interested in the company. After that they emailed me for a NLP challenge, which they asked to deliver in codes and also a presentation. I worked really hard despite having a full time job, tried to finish it 1 week.
I gave them 2 approaches in which I spent a lot of times because I have never done it before. Then the recruiter told me the next meeting will be about the presentation of the technical challenge that I did with the panel (a few people). But on the presentation day, I was shocked because it contained several rounds that I had not been briefed before. I thought it was only the presentation regarding what I did for the technical challenge + a few questions. The interviewers kept asking me in an urgent manner (kept saying something like time is up, please move to the next round, and I was like I didn't even know about this). The guy is really condescending toward me and not friendly at all, even asking me things I have not mentioned in my CV (things I never did before). Although they kept telling me “we have a few parts during this interview”, and urging me to speak/answer faster, but when it was past lunchtime already, that guy still kept asking me questions.
The recruiters did not brief me about the agenda of this panel interview, so I came unprepared. Then they asked me to wait another 1 more week because there is also another candidate who is also applying in the same position. Finally, they said they won’t move forward with my application.
