Fill out online application including thorough answers to numerous supplemental questions. If you score high enough on this, you get placed on an 'eligible list' which means you are eligible for positions of this type. I believe you have to make the eligible list to be considered for an interview. Interviews are scheduled several weeks after the application deadline. The interviewing process takes about a week, then another couple of weeks to hire someone.

How do you handle this situation?
