I met with HR for the initial meeting, which went very well. I met with the hiring manager next. Forty-five minutes was scheduled for the interview. It lasted 15 minutes. At that time, the hiring manager clapped his hands and said, "ok, we are done; HR will be in touch," and abruptly ended the virtual meeting. The person, yes, clapped in my face. It was a very painful 15 minutes with the hiring manager demanding that I tell better stories about my work experience. I am an executive-level talent and have never been treated that rudely before in an interview. If the HM didn't think I was a good fit, that is fine—tell me, and don't clap in my face and abruptly kick me out of Google Meet.
