For stage 1 I had a Skype interview with HR which was nice, chatty and friendly. For part 2, it was a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager.
The office was "buzzing" and "young", which I liked. Sadly, the interview felt more like an exam and was super impersonal. Very little small talk, all the questions were technical and ticked off a list on a timer - there was no personal touch or wanting to know me as an individual. This gave me the impression that the company is more interested in hiring people who shut up and do the job. You are just a number in the factory. They also asked me for my opinion (advice?) on their own processes. As soon as the interview ended I was rushed out of the door.
I received a generic email updating me about the status of my application a week later. I think that a personal email would have been the polite and considerate thing to do, considering that I had changed my schedule to accommodate this interview last-minute. Gave me the impression they have no appreciation for your time and no agenda other than their own. Overall it left a bitter taste in my mouth.
