The interview process was very efficient. They were respectful of my time and communicative with me throughout the entire process. Compared to other interview processes, this one definitely stood out.

Flow is typically meet with recruiter, hiring manager, panel of 4 XFN team members, then case study, then final call with hiring manager or leadership. Pro tip: think through audience segment expansion in your case studies

Describe a time you brought a new campaign concept to life
Solicité el puesto por otro medio. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Headspace
Entrevista
I've been in the industry for a decade and this was hands down the worst and most painful interview process I have ever experienced. While I love the brand and mission of the company, Headspace's inability to effectively communicate, plan, or make equitable decisions took them from an interesting opportunity I was exciting about to an unappealing bullet that I dodged.
Here's why:
Length of Process – It took nearly 2 months. (Five. Rounds. Seven. People.) While, granted, I am used to excessively fast paces and quick turnarounds, this duration is not normal and, candidly, not okay. The length in decision making made it extremely difficult to make a decision on what to do in my existing role and with my existing offers. Initially, I assumed Headspace might have a slower lead time because of the nature of the business (mindfulness = healthier pace?) but it became clear the length was due to internal chaos vs. intentional consideration.
Communication – Poor communication throughout from both the recruiter and hiring manager. No definitive timelines or clarity on process provided. I never quite knew when they were looking to make a decision by, and it ended up being about 2 weeks longer than I anticipated. Throughout the process, it was generally unclear what next steps would look like. There were also no general follow-ups after my multi-hour interviews. Rude.
Consideration – Was asked to interview at 8pm while on vacation (which they were made aware of) to accommodate someone's last-minute schedule change. Was also asked to have my first interview that afternoon (in a few hours), after having to had wait a month to hear back from them. With a mission to support "happier and healthier lives," I would expect better.
