A friendly, in-person interview asking about my motivations and relevant experiences. I received an e-mail to set up a one-on-one interview within two weeks of applying. The director of the research center ascertained whether I had done onsite interviews and data collection, and about what kind of research I planned to undertake during my year in the role. And I received a congratulations email less than a week after that.

Several rounds meeting with different people within the lab followed by a brief writing assessment that I had about 2 days to do. Ended with a meeting with HR telling me that I received the job.

The Human Resources team is very direct and communicative. However, if they don't want you for a role, they will just stop responding even after several rounds of interviews. If they do want you, they will be very communicative.
