This interview started off really well. The screener was nice enough. Towards the end, however, they began to drill me about the operations of my current organization (for a department I do not work with). They seemed more interested in learning about the functions of my organization versus my experience and how I can contribute to the role. It felt a bit like an interrogation, and I had to repeatedly answer with “I don’t work with that particular department, so I can’t effectively answer the question.” I still sent a follow up, but was ghosted. Very unprofessional experience. This was over a month ago, and the job is still listed. I do not believe they actually have any intention of hiring for this position, as the interviewer said this role was eliminated during Covid for budget cuts because it was “non-essential”. Just something to be mindful of.

I had a phone screen with Habitat for a marketing director position. The human resources rep with whom I spoke was very good. He described the position and was willing to talk about the culture. He asked standard questions for a phone screen style interview, including what I already knew about Habitat for Humanity. Also asked about why I'm thinking of leaving my current job.
