Envié una solicitud electrónica. Acudí a una entrevista en HCA Healthcare (Austin, TX) en ene 2023

      Entrevista

Zoom interview with 3 senior executives ; basic interview questions after introductions. Main camera of interviewer had tech difficulties so it was very difficult for me to hear or see. I did like that they didn’t get into psych questions to profile my ability to work with others.

They seem to be looking for qualified people who will work for below market pay or people with minimal experience to groom. The VP-level interviewers seem insecure and shy away from more experienced external candidates.

I interviewed for a Director-level role and went through two rounds. Unfortunately, the process felt disorganized and not aligned with the seniority of the position. First round: The hiring manager arrived late and mentioned personal obligations. The conversation lasted only a few minutes, mainly to explain that I would be asked to complete a take-home assignment. The instructions provided were inconsistent, and I was told I could “work on it over the weekend,” which felt unprofessional for a senior-level process. Second round: The follow-up was scheduled for only 30 minutes. Again, the interview started late. The conversation focused entirely on reviewing the assignment, which was treated more like a finished product than an exercise. There was no opportunity to discuss my experience, the team, or the role itself. Follow-up: A few days later, I received a generic rejection email that didn’t mention the position or provide any feedback. Takeaway: The process lacked structure, transparency, and respect for the candidate's time. For a senior leadership role, I would have expected a more focused discussion on strategy, leadership, and collaboration rather than a mis-scoped exercise and rushed conversations.
