An external recruiter connected me with Group Fox for a VP of Marketing role. The CEO first requested I interview on a day I had indicated I was unavailable. I was interested in the position and rearranged my schedule to accommodate hers. I arrived onsite to find out that the CEO was unavailable and I would instead be interviewing with the person currently holding the role. Within minutes, it was clear she was not taking the interview seriously and she made it clear she thought I was too young for the role. She then asked if I would be interested in an on-site leasing position. I was offended but mostly in shock. The external recruiter confirmed my suspicions and apologized for wasting my time. Awful experience with a clearly threatened HR/Marketing administrator.
