I did a phone screen with a recruiter who then moved me on to a hangout interview. She wouldn't tell me which position specifically I was being interviewed for. The manager I was scheduled to interview with had to cancel and I was rescheduled with a different interviewer from a different accounting group. This person was cold and asked standard interview questions. She looked like she didn't want to be there interviewing me and it looked like she already judged my experience even before talking to me.
From what I had read in articles and books about Google culture, it sounded like Google has an open, progressive culture. The impression that I got from the interview was the opposite.
I did not get the offer and when I asked for feedback, they told me I did not have the skill set to be in the Accounting/Finance groups across Google and I shouldn't apply to any more Accounting/Finance roles with Google.
Fyi, I have 7 yrs of experience in Accounting & Finance in large companies as well as startup. Since I interviewed only with 1 person from 1 accounting group in Google, it is safe to assume this judgment is based on that one person's opinion.

I went through a phone screen and four formal rounds, interviewing with the hiring manager as well as several cross-functional stakeholders. On the technical side, the accounting questions were pretty manageable. However, the leadership questions felt a bit tricky, and it wasn't entirely clear what specific experiences the interviewer was looking for. I ended up receiving an offer, but because they downleveled the position, I decided to decline

A well-structured and intellectually challenging interview process that focuses on problem-solving, analytical thinking, and clear communication. Interviewers are professional and approachable, creating a respectful atmosphere while assessing strong alignment with Google’s culture and real-world role expectations.
Was similar to other interviews I've had with other organizations. Standard tell me about yourself, which lead to questions about my background. Interviews were scheduled timely and I heard back quickly after the process
