Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Google (Gurgaon, Haryana) en jul 2024
Entrevista
The Google interview process is structured and multi-stage, focusing on technical proficiency, problem-solving ability, and cultural fit.
Recruiter Screening
The process begins with a short phone call with a recruiter. They review background, relevant technical experience, job fit, and logistics such as role preferences and timeline.
Technical Phone/Virtual Interviews (1–2 rounds)
Candidates participate in 45–60 minute coding interviews using an online collaborative editor. These rounds assess:
Data structures and algorithms
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Code quality and test case coverage
Communication and clarity of thought
On-Site / Virtual On-Site Interviews (4–5 rounds)
The on-site stage typically includes:
2 Coding Rounds: Algorithms, complexity optimization, correctness
1–2 System Design Rounds (for mid-level and above) or role-related knowledge for entry-level roles
Behavioral Interview: Focused on teamwork, ownership, leadership, and “Googleyness”
Hiring Committee Review
Feedback from all interviewers is submitted to a committee that independently evaluates overall performance to ensure fairness and consistency.
Team Matching
Successful candidates are matched with hiring managers and teams based on mutual interests and hiring needs.
Offer & Onboarding
Once a match is finalized, the offer is extended and the standard background check is completed.

They asked me to design a data structure that supports insert, delete, and getRandom in average O(1) time.
Solicité el puesto por otro medio. Acudí a una entrevista en Google (Londres, Inglaterra)
Entrevista
The interview process was structured and professional, with clear communication at each stage. The assignment was relevant and fairly scoped, and feedback/updates were timely. However, the evaluation timeline after submission felt somewhat unclear, and more transparency on expected review duration would improve the candidate experience

One question that stood out during the interview was about how I would design a system to handle concurrent requests safely while maintaining performance under high load. They were particularly interested in how I would approach thread safety, resource sharing, and avoiding race conditions in a real-world backend service.
Good, in depth technical questions and detailed analysis. Attention to detail to the problems given. technical knowledge needed spans several technologies and use cases. Ample time was given and felt very comfortable.
