I got a call from the HR manager and we discussed my experience and other issues by phone for 30 minutes. Then I received an invitation for the first interview. It was a very long meeting - more than 3 hours. We discussed my projects, clients, the difficulties that I encountered. Also, not a small part of the interview was taken up by logical tasks and business cases from potential projects. After the meeting, I was offered to do a small homework - according to the submitted system requirements, prepare a project plan with a budget estimate, as well as assess key risks. It looked like an interesting task and gave me the opportunity to really think about my decision to change career paths. Another participant was invited to the second interview and we discussed the results of my homework half the time. Next was the negotiation process and I got an offer
