It was a 2 month process. I took an online exam that tested my abilities in a manufacturing setting. This included playing a game where you make pills and a behavioral assessment. My results were e-mailed to me. These results listed what postilions I qualified for. Then I had an in person interview at Global Foundries in Malta. The interview started with a group exercise where we put together toy cars. Each piece had a price, and each car an overall sales price. The point was to make your company as profitable as possible over the course of three iterations. They were also testing to see what improvements your group made as the trial went on. After that there were 3 interviews. Two technical interviews, and the third was with an HR rep.. I received an e-mail after the interview stating that they wanted me to apply to the process technician position. I did. Then I received feedback that my test results from the SAM test (previous online exam) did not qualify me for the position. This was crazy to me. They posted my test results before the face-to-face interview, and it clearly stated that I qualified to interview for that specific position among many others. Counting the time it took me to go through the interview process I'm going to rate it as difficult. The questions were easy but boy were there a lot of hoops to go through.
