      Interviewers asked me some technical questions which i answered correctly but then they got stuck on some random question which was about the organizational structure of my previous company CIBC(45k employees) and its clients . They kept on asking me who were the clients of my previous company . I tried explaining it to them and also told them I only worked there for only 4 months . Remind you , it was a technical interview . I cannot understand the fact that how can you just reject someone based on these type of questions. . And then on top of that they said my answers were hypothetical based instead of real life answers . How can you expect someone to give you a real life explanation when your question itself is hypothetical and vague . Last but not the least , why does it even matter ? As long as my concepts and technical knowledge was correct why would they even care if my answer was hypothetical or not ? Interviwers were not prepared and after some technical question they kept on asking me random question regarding my last company . The interviewers need to prepare themselves in a better way plus if you have technical knowledge then that doesnt automatically make you a good interviewer. You need to have someone who has the eye to spot talent and ask relevant questions .

      Some technical question regarding ci/cd . Then a coding questions . questions regarding kubernetes. Then once maybe they thought they dont have anything else to ask they started asking me random questions regarding the organization structure of my last organization .

      Entrevista

      I first had a call with a recruiter, then the first stage was with the team manager, and the second stage was with two team members and the manager + a coding test. Before proceeding to the second stage, I asked the recruiting coordinator for details on the coding test, such as language, but they failed to provide any. There were three big red flags for me: 1) When it came time for me to ask them culture questions such as "what does a successful/ideal employee look like here", the manager didn't understand that this was a cultural question and answered quite literally - "This is a great question. I'd say its, someone who completes their work without issues." 2) Given that it was a coding test under pressure (with no prep before hand because the recruiting coordinator did not let me know what kind of coding test this would be), my answer involved using an array vs tuple swapping which is more ideal. The manager argued that an array does not produce the correct answer, but when I showed that it did, she seemed unsatisfied that I proved her wrong. 3) For the second stage. they mainly quizzed on technical questions with answers that you can easily Google, rather than how look into the thought processes of troubleshooting or problem solving.
