I did 3 interviews. 2 for senior engineering positions and 1 for an engineering supervisor position. The 2 P3 jobs were both phone interviews. The interviewers were all hiring managers and very personable. They asked a mix of background, behavioral, technical and personality questions. They were both very low stress (relative to other interviews) and less formal. Both hiring managers reached out afterwards to thank me for interviewing and offering their help if I needed it. I was offered both jobs but didn’t take them. The supervisor position interview was in person. It was more formal with 4 interviewers and I was told the format of the interview at the beginning (10 questions, mix of behavioral and technical). It was still less formal, but more pressure due to being in person. All interviewers were nice. I was not offered the supervisor position but the hiring manager reached out to me, thanked me for interviewing and then offered me a position on the team. He fought for a higher pay rate on my initial offer. I took this job

You are left to wait in HR for over an hour getting only a brief benefits overview. Then you get a shipyard tour for about an hour. Next you wait for another hour or so before you have a series of interview with multiple people from either one of multiple departments. Each interview is about 20 minutes and easy. The interviewers are trying to sell you on the company more than you are trying to sell yourself. Finally, you have a lunch with an employee to ask questions about salary, workplace culture, etc.

There was a phone interview first and then I was invited to Groton for a visit. The visit started with the HR building, and then I was asked to get a temporary pass to the facility. There was a yard tour, and then bused to engineering building, where I met with the department supervisor and other engineers.
