You will have to go through HR for background checks and drug testing (hair follicle). For entry level jobs just apply online. They will call if interested. Most higher level jobs have almost nothing to do with your education, skills, abilities, experience or any other annoying "qualifications" for the job. It's really more about who you know and who you are friends with and/or who you are related to.
