I submitted an application online. The recruiter then reached out to get my availability for an initial call. The conversation was very natural and gave me a lot of insight into the company. Although they ultimately chose to pursue other candidates, the recruiter followed up with a phone call to let me know. That is so rare these days and while it's disappointing to not continue and potentially get the job, the care that the recruiter put into the experience has increased my positive impression of the company even more.
